A classic, gorgeous large gem bi-colored indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010 finds at the renowned Pederneira Mine. This beauty is limpid gem throughout, with negligible internal layering. The trigonal crystal is super glassy, lustrous and striated. The body is a beautiful teal-blue, with a lightly etched, matte purple-cap pinacoidal termination. A tiny purple-cap side car crystal is a nice accent. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A subtle contact just below the termination on one side, where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se and a trivial edge wilber near the middle is noted. The single clean repair 2.0 cm below the termination is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. A classic large bi-colored indicolite from the locale with exceptional gemminess. 22 grams mass. MUCH better in person!!
