Item Description

Gem, glassy, tabullar, golden-yellow barite prisms, to 1.2 cm, cover the thin curved crust on this very rich and attractive small cabinet from the well-known Sherman Mine at Leadville. The back of the crust has siderite, a typical association. Classic, exceptionally fine and rich material from this noted locale. The gem barites are above average for the locale. Valued at $500-700.
