Item Description

Water-clear, gem, amber, barite crystals are festooned on the mounded pineapple-shaped matrix on this impressive and excellent large specimen from the famous finds in the early 1990s at the Meikle Mine of Nevada. The crystal glassiness and gemmy luster are top-flight and the crystals reach 4.7 cm. The barites on one side are a shade darker and some crystals are preferentially coated with a druse of tiny to mico calcite rhombs. Just a bit of bruising is noted, all lower on the sides. Certainly not detracting, for such crystal density. Valued at $1250-1500 as this pocket had the best gemminess and luster! Ex Jesse Fisher and Joan Kureczka Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
