Gem Azurite (1950s)

Concepcion del Oro azurites are perhaps the gemmiest azurites in the world, rivaling the best from Tsumeb or Morocco. Specimens of this quality mostly came out the 1950s, so this is old-time, very showy material. The crystals are small, but they are so fine. Gem "electric-blue" blades, to about 7 mm, are richly and attractively clustered on the sculptural matrix plate. There are many more crystals on the back and bottom of the piece. Very fine and rich material.
