Item Description
Fine aquamarine specimens are RARE from the famous pegmatites at Pech, renowned for superb morganite, tourmaline and spodumene specimens. This is a striking and aesthetic opposing cluster of three, gem, pretty light blue aquas nicely accented with a nifty spray of schorls and albite and a single quartz crystal at the base. Interestingly, three different aqua crystal forms are present: a textbook hexagonal crystal with a pinacoid termination (the thumb); a spearpoint termination crystal; and the smaller tablular aqua (doubly terminated). The aquas are water-clear, with a couple of faces on the spearpoint crystal being frosted. The aquas are pristine. An outstanding and very uncommon aqua, with 360-degree visual presence. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this fine piece at $850, five or more years ago. It is worth $1250-1500 today, with the ongoing conflict.
