Item Description

This gorgeous, water-clear, 62-gram gem crystal is fat, robust, and simply impressive. It is a very equant piece on its sides, sharply hexagonal; and so lustrous and smooth on the long side faces that it frankly looks carved on first glance. It was purchased in 1992, in the still-early days of Pakistan mineral exports, by collector Brent Lockhart of Houston, from whom I obtained it in trade recently. The crystal was one of seven similar crystals recovered from a small pocket collected at 12000 feet elevation in the rugged Karakorum Mountains, as reported to him by the dealer who exported it at the time. Comes with custom-made and engraved lucite base for display valued at $125, for free. Valued at $3000.
