Item Description
Fine ice-blue color on this gem aquamarine crystal from the Shigar Valley. The glassy, highly lustrous crystal has classic textbook hexagonal crystal form. Very interestingly, four of the six prism faces and the termination are water-clear, with the other two adjacent prism faces being preferentially frosted. The embedded cleavelandite, muscovite and scattered schorl crystals, to 1.2 cm, add character to this showy 360-degree small cabinet. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of termination edge wear. 90 grams mass. Ex Taylor Hunt Collection.
