Item Description
A RARE fine limpid gem light blue aquamarine thumbnail crystal from this less well-known extinct Colorado molybdenum mine. The locality produced aquamarine crystals, but they are VERY seldom available in this quality. This beautiful crystal has textbook hexagonal form and a beveled termination. A exceptional and rare thumbnail aquamarine from the Kay Robertson Collection # 9883 and probably collected in the 1970s or earlier. She acquired this cutie from the Lidstroms in January, 1983. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A MUST for the species or Colorado collector!
