Item Description
A beautiful, 3.7 x 2.9 x 1.3 cm, gem aqumarine crystal is aesthetically set in the sculptural matrix of sparkly, pearlescent, bladed albite crystal clusters. The aqua has rich blue color and is actually water-clear. The prism faces are lightly etched/frosted, like a Wolodarsk heliodor. Part of the pinacoid termination face is absolutely water-clear. The interesting notch on the back of the crystal has no damage. A couple of water-clear, pearlescent muscovite books add much character and the surprise on the back shows the fragment of a large schorl crystal! The composition and aesthetics of this piece are very fine. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this piece at $750, five or more years ago. Valued today at $900-1100.
