Fascinating gem aquamarine from the Shigar Valley. The water-clear, very glassy, textbook hexagonal crystal has fine ice-blue color. The fantastic narrow horizontal layers add a surreal quality to this highly unusual aqua. Complete all-around and pristine. The bit of internal crazing and tiny inclusions add even more character to this cutie. The glassy termination is water-clear looking down into the interior and the artistic etching adds pizzazz to this excellent gem crystal. 40 grams mass. MUCH better in person. The gemminess and glassiness made photography difficult.
