Item Description

Extraordinary and VERY RARE large combination from an early 2019 one-time special pocket in Jalgaon. Ten surreal gem, tetragonal apophyllite crystals with both pyramidal and pinacoidal terminations are aesthetically scattered on the undulating basalt matrix plate covered with granular green Celadonite, a Mica Group species. The isolated and cluster of pearlescent stilbite blades are a fine contrast and accessory. The apophyllites reach 2.5 cm across and they are all pristine. Close examination of the colorless apophyllites, some having a green appearance, shows that celadonite is included in the base of the crystals and looks like a garden! We were very lucky to get a few of these and have not seen other Jalgaon apophyllites of this style. Some examples sold for thousands of dollars at mineral shows in 2019-2020. More have not come out since.
