Gem Anglesite on Galena (outstanding old classic)

Touissit produced the world's finest yellow gem anglesites and this is a striking, excellent and very gemmy example. A 3.9 cm, gemmy, golden-yellow crystal proudly leaps skyward from the corroded massive galena matrix. The crystal has a beautiful, sharp termination and you can see a rainbow play of colors in the base of the crystal. The secondary, flat-lying, 3.2 cm, lustrous but frosted crystal is a nice contrast/accent. Both of these crystals are pristine on this impressive small cabinet piece. Touissit anglesites with this gemminess and rich color are seldom on the market today, and came out in the 1970s. Valued at $2000-2500
