Item Description

A VERY RARE, 6 mm, gemmy, anatase crystal is artistically set on the side of a limpid quartz crystal on this aesthetic small cabinet combination. The classic dipyramid is beautifully striated and has golden-yellow to dark brown color. The dramatic and sculptural cluster of water-clear quartz crystals is further accented with included rutile needles, to 2.3 cm. Most anatase specimens from the 2000s finds at this less well-known Minas Gerais locale have a secondary epitaxial overgrowth of rutile. An exceptional, very rare and superb Brazilian gem anatase, quartz and rutile combination from the Rolando Gioia Collection. This fine gemmy anatase resembles world-class specimens from the Alps, Norway, Pakistan and other localities.
