Item Description
Gaudefroyite is an extremely rare manganese borate species, and it's especially difficult to find in crystal form from any locality. This impressive cabinet sized specimen features a full coverage of notably sharp AND lustrous, prismatic black crystals of Gaudefroyite measuring up to 9 mm with minor associated reddish Andradite Garnet. Several of the crystals are contacted, so the piece is not undamaged, but it's still an impressive and showy specimen of a mineral that is rarely seen in big display specimens. Valued at $1,500.
