Item Description
Gaudefroyite is a very rare manganese borate, and these Gaudefroyite crystals are exceptional for beauty and luster. The Gaudefroyites, which are slender and prismatic, range up to 9 mm in length and populate a matrix of bright sparkling red Garnets. The Gaudefroyites are distributed nicely across the spcimen, particuarly along the top, where they are highly visible and complement beautifully the gemmy, bright to dark cherry-red Andradites. The best Gaudefroyites in the world come from the Kalahari Manganese Field and this sparkling thumbnail is absolutely superb for quality and aesthetics.
