A very rare Manganese Borate, Gaudefroyite is difficult to find in good, euhedral crystals. This specimen centers on one single 2.1 cm lustrous, prismatic black crystal of Gaudefroyite with numerous smaller 'sidecar' crystals attached. 2.1 cm is an exceptional size for the species. An impressive thumbnail specimen of a very rare species from the Charlie Key thumbnail collection. Valued $500.
