Item Description
Gaspeite is a rare nickel, magnesium, iron carbonate. It seldom crystallizes. This is a rich and showy coating, on a crust of nickeloan dolomite, featuring striking, lime-green gaspeite. Pretty two-toned botryoids cover the piece. This is a high quality and a rich piece. The mineral so seldom forms in this quality, and is apparently quite difficult to find as not much comes to market despite its beauty. This very rich, highly representative specimen is from the 132 North Nickel Mine of Western Australia. Very seldom on the market in this quality and richness.
