Item Description
Gaspeite is a rare nickel, magnesium, iron carbonate. It seldom crystallizes. This is a rich and showy, vein sandwiched between two fragments of matrix featuring striking, lime-green gaspeite. Pretty botryoids line of the vug adjacent to the contacted vein. This is a high quality and a rich piece. The mineral so seldom forms in this quality, and is apparently quite difficult to find as not much comes to market despite its beauty. This very rich, highly representative specimen is from the 132 North Nickel Mine of Western Australia. Very seldom on the market in this quality and richness.
