Item Description
These specimens are some of the most exemplary pieces of Gaspeite from any locality. Typically this rare nickel carbonate species is found in uncrystallized / massive "chunks", and is used in the lapidary world for polishing into cabochons. This particular specimen is a wonderful example featuring beautiful spherical aggregates of eye-catching apple green Gaspeite on one side of the volcanic host rock matrix, while the other side features massive Gaspeite. Gaspeite so seldom forms in this quality, and the 132 North Mine is completely closed, so it's unlikely that we will see more of them in the future.
