Item Description

A very rare sample of the classic Alpine material from Mt Cervandone on the Swiss / Italian border in the Alps. This piece features cruce micro pseudohexagonal monoclinic prismatic crystals of Gasparite-(Ce) - possibly pseudomorphous after Synchysite - with micro associated Anatase on classic "Cervandone Gneiss" matrix. A great rarity from the TYPE LOCALITY! Ex Paolo Matioli Collection.
