Item Description
Lustrous, dark blood-red galkhaite cubes to 3 mm on a nicely contrasting gray, drusy quartz-covered matrix from the famous Getchell Mine of Nevada. Galkhaite is a very rare cesium, thallium, mercury sulfide. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection and this piece is probably from small finds in the late 1970s stashed until recent years by the mine geologist. This must have been a significant find, as even the mine heading and level are shown on the label.
