Item Description

The Camp Bird mine is one of the most classic San Juan Mountain localities, and is famous for its sulfides. Some of the most attractive and impressive sulfide association specimens are found in this mine along with the Idarado mine. This specimen features a few sharp, lustrous, cuboctahedral Galena crystals with minor black Sphalerite. An attractive thumbnail specimen from this classic San Juan Mountain locality in southwestern Colorado.
