Galena with Marcasite

Item Description

A classic group of very attractive, sharp, well-formed, cubic crystals (with slight octahedral modifications) of Galena measuring up to 2.6 cm on edge sit atop iridescent Marcasite matrix. The piece is nearly a "floater", as it is crystallized on nearly ever side. The color is a silvery-grey "gun metal" hue with a lovely external patina. Hard to photograph, but good in person and really attractive for the material. I'm told that this is from a fairly new find (within the last few years), and is not older material.
