Item Description
A classic, textbook, 6.2 x 4.8 x 4.1 cm, splendent metallic-gray compound cubic galena crystal is composed of intergrown cubes. That's why the upper crystal face is curved. The attached galena crystal sections, frontal pods of brassy marcasite microcrystals and the rich coating of brown marcasite microcrystals on the back are typical accessories. This excellent old-timer is from one of the mines of Missouri's famous Viburnum Trend. It's from the Al Kidwell Collection, who acquired it from well-known Arkansas mineral dealer Ocus Stanley in 1970.
