Galena with Dolomite (ex Charles M. Noll Collection)

Item Description

A classic display specimen of the famous combination of Galena with Dolomite from the famous Sweetwater Mine. Sharp, well-formed, metallic, silvery Galena crystals (cubes and cuboctahedra) are intergrown to create this attractive overall piece which is partially coated by beige Dolomite crystals. Minor black Sphalerite can be seen at the base of the specimen. Good condition overall, and not nearly as common on the market as they were years ago. From the collection of Charles M. Noll.
