Galena with Calcite

Item Description

A striking galena with calcite specimen from a 2006 find at the famed Nikolaevskiy Mine. The splendent, curiously flattened habit galena cube is pristine and is amazingly etched on all sides. The etch patterns on four sides are incredible. The back of the galena hosts a field of calcite crystals, including the striking, very nearly pristine, 2.3 cm, glassy, pokerchip crystal. A very nifty combo piece from this noted locale, where very little new material has recently been produced.
