Item Description
Striking melted-look, stepped-growth, splendent metallic-gray, tightly intergrown galena cuboctahedrons compose this sculptural and pristine 360-degree knob from the historic mines of the Trepca District. Many of the crystal faces have fascinating indented fortification features, that really add pizzazz to the piece. Clusters of small tan flattened rhodochrosite rhombs with quartz crystals are a typical and fine accessory. Rich galena specimens of this style with (admittedly pale) rhodochrosite are an uncommon combination from this famous locale and this is a fine example.
