Item Description
Very interesting intergrown galena cubes with sprays of quartz needles along with a few textbook chalcopyrite sphenoids form a rich and very showy small cabinet combination from the well-known mines at Huaron. The unusual galena cubes, to 1.6 cm, have bright metallic-gray lustre, a nifty melted-look with lightly rounded corners, some wavy, rippled faces and pretty subtle iridescence. The large chalco in the center is 1.4 cm long. Huaron is famous for oustanding quartz and sulfide combinations, however, fine specimens such as this, with melted-look galena with chalcopyrite are very uncommon. Choice combination material from the R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
