Item Description

A showy, old-time, galena plate from the famous Joplin Field of the Tri-State District. Lustrous, batttleship-gray, galena cubes to 1.7 cm are aesthetically scattered on the sphalerite matrix and are nicely accented with preferential dustings of sparkly, golden marcasite microcrystals and nifty sphalerite crystals embedded in the galena crystal faces. Classic material from this historic locale. Essentially pristine and looks great from either side.
