Two dramatically intergrown blocky, moderately lustrous, galena cubes form a fantastic 'T' on this old-time amazingly sculptural small cabinet from the historic mines of the Tri-State District. It looks like a portion of the famous Neolithic monument at Stonehenge, England! Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11820 and acquired from the Hamel's at Tucson in February, 1989. Comes with an old label. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A remarkable old-time Tri-State galena.
