Item Description

Refined combination piece with sharp, well formed, battleship-gray, flattened, spinel twin Galena crystals with intergrown clusters of stacked dark lustrous Sphalerites. The two complex Galena crystals, up to 3 cm across, intersect vertically providing an engaging form. The piece also displays a noticeable texture contrast with the smaller Sphalerites, showing different crystal habits and higher luster, sitting against the flatter somewhat smooth Galena crystals. This classic spinel twin Galena from Dalnegorsk is a fine miniature with great architectural form. 1980s-90s style, not often seen in a quality today.
