Item Description

A rare, rich and old-time combination specimen from this well-known Boulder County Au-Ag-Pb mine. Gray-black, cubic and cuboctahedral galena crystals densely cover two sides of the quartz matrix along with spongy and massive native silver, starkly contrasting tabular barite blades with microcrytalline siderite on the the faces and tiny amber calcite crystals. The base has been sawed. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. From the Jean Hamel Collection and mined in 1936, according to his label. A MUST for the Colorado or species collector. Very rich and rare combination ore!
