Item Description
Galena was the most important lead ore at Tsumeb, but was uncommon in crystals and seldom reach 1.0 cm. This rare specimen hosts a very showy field of sharp, lustrous, metallic-gray, galena octahedrons to 7 mm on a matrix of microcrystalline galena, tennantite and iridescent, bluish bornite. Excellent and rare material from this famous and now-closed locality. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
