Item Description
Well-formed galena crystals are RARE from this extinct barite-lead-zinc-silver open cut mine, that was filled in the 1980s (MINDAT). Most specimens from here are Zeolites or Calcite. Corroded galena cubes, to 1.1 cm, are nicely clustered on the blocky, hefty matrix, that appears to be mostly barite. Ex John Marshall Collection # 966, a noted East Coast pyromorphite specialist and collector, who passed away in 2008.
