Item Description
Minerals specimens are rare from this extinct obscure small Pima County small underground Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-Zn mine southwest of Tucson. The mine produced from only 1890-1910. Sparkly matte-finish gray galena cubes to 8 mm are aesthetically clustered on the drusy quartz matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11609 and acquired from Ikon Mining at the 1988 Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). RARE and excellent combination material from the mine. A must for the species or locality collector.
