Item Description
Galena on quartz specimens of this exceptional quality are RARE from this noted locality. Rare, splendent, sharp, metallic-gray, cuboctahedrons to 1.7 cm, in isolation or clustered, are aesthetically scattered on the sculptural, partitioned quartz matrix covered with glassy spearpoints. Most galenas from here are octahedrons or cubes. Tiny tan siderites scattered about are a nice accent. Old and most excellent material from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased in Romania in 1970!
