Galena on matrix (classic material)

Great pieces from the Tri-state District are becoming a little more difficult to track down these days. This particular specimen features a superb, good sized, lustrous, cube (with minor octahedral modifications) of Galena aesthetically sitting on matrix. Sulfides are not always the easiest minerals to photograph, but this piece is very attractive and looks better than the photos would indicate.
