Splendent, sharp, steel-gray galena octahedrons, to 1.5 cm, densely cover the undulating mounded small cabinet matrix on this rich and showy specimen from the famous Himmelfahrt Mine at historic Freiberg. This mine was one of the last two mines to close in Freiberg in 1913. See the 2015 Mineralogical Record Freiberg Issue in Vol. 46, No. 3. From a 19th Century Zurich collection.
