Item Description

Melnikovite is an uncommon finely layered sulfide gel of pyrite or marcasite and sometimes alternating between the two species. An impressive, 4.1 cm, galena-covered marcasite botryoid rests on bubby, botryoidal, scintillating marcasite, which in turn, rests on layered melnikovite. Uncommon, excellent and showy material from Olkusz from the Dave Stoudt Collection # 535 and purchased in Wasaw in September, 1998.
