Item Description

An outstanding, aesthetic and unusual combination specimen from the famous Casapalca District of Peru. Supremely splendent, metallic-gray, hoppered or "fortification-style" galena crystals to 3.0 cm are strikingly clustered on the matrix plate along with sprays of glassy quartz needles. Adding real pazzazz to the piece is the very rich preferential coating of sparkly, pastel-pink rosettes of flattened, manganoan calcite rhombs on both the galena and quartz! The galena crystals have a purplish iridescence on a black light! Weird and facinating. It is sho sharp it looks CARVED. This on eleapt out at me. For Peru, the quality is through the roof - and very similar to Madan Bulgarian material in fact. This is uncommonly fine and very showy classic combination material from this noted locale, seldom available in this combination quality. Valued $750 or more
