Item Description

An impressive, excellent and aesthetic old-time combination specimen from the famous Boltsburn Mine. A sharp, lustrous, 2.8 x 2.7 x 2.7 cm, galena cuboctahedron is dramatically set on the end of the siderite rhomb matrix. A nifty field of gemmy, light mint-green, fluorite cubes fills in the lower midsection, with the large interpenetrating cube at 1.6 cm across. More galenas are at the other end. The striking large galena is pristine and I really like the way siderites cover the base of the crystal. The large galena at the lower end is cleaved, but this remains an outstanding combination of rare quaity from the Boltsburn. Undoubtably very choice old-time combination material from the classic locale, that closed in 1931, but no proof. BRIGHT blue fluorescence! Value???
