Item Description
Rare, sculptural and pristine miniature stacked floater aggregate of brilliant metallic-gray galena cuboctahedrons from famous Blackdene Mine of Weardale. The mine first produced lead, then fluorite and closed in 1987. The piece has a fine provenance having been in the collection of well-known English dealer and field collector, Lindsay Greenbank. It was recovered by a miner in 1969. Ex Tim Sherburn Collection. This classic and very fine cutie has outstanding 360-degree visual appeal.
