A fantastic full-sized miniature of top quality Galena from Naica. This specimen hosts several highly metallic, razor-sharp, splendent, bright silvery colored modified cuboctahedral crystals of Galena measuring up to 2.5 cm sitting on minor matrix. The piece is in great shape all around with no major damage, only the understandable roughness around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. INCREDIBLY difficult to photograph, but much better in person. If you collect Mexican minerals, miniature display specimens or worldwide sulfides, do not miss out on this one. It's a great example of this classic material from Naica. The piece comes with a label from the J. Murray Collection of Wichita Falls, Texas. The label mentions that the piece is associated with Calcite. I can see a tiny bit of white Calcite underneath the Galena, but nothing more. Valued in the inventory at $1,500.
