Galena (Excellent "Spinel" Twins) with Quartz

Crystallized specimens from Madan might be plentiful on the market, but they are still some of the finest quality examples of their respective species from any modern locality. The Galena specimens from this area are truly impressive and just stunning in person. Here we have a wonderful hefty cabinet display specimen featuring sharp, highly splendent, metallic, silvery, stepped, compressed, well-formed, "Spinel"-Law twins of Galena with associated Quartz on minor Pyrite matrix. I can see a dusting of white-beige Dolomite in areas for a nice touch as well. The largest Galena measures 4.7 cm on edge. Outstanding quality all over this piece, and better in person than the photos indicate! I love the form of the crystals with fantastic striations and mirror bright reflections.
