Item Description

Mineral specimens from this beautifully named, small-scale lead mine are very uncommon and showy specimens with this diverse mineralogy are rare. The undulating field of clusters of sharp, moderately lustrous, battleship-gray galena crystals are intergrown cuboctahedrons. Scattered on the front, sides and especially on the back are a very interesting assemblage of accessories: tan siderite disks; and sparkly micro pyrite crystals. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and formerly in the Le Fon Collection of Evergreen, Colorado (an economic geologist) according to his label.
