Item Description

Galena specimens from the historic and ancient Fe-Pb and Cu mines of Siegerland are a German classic. Mining started here over 2500 years ago and the last mine closed in 1965 (MINDAT). This is a showy rich specimen of intergrown highly lustrous, metallic-gray cuboctahedrons with sharp and striking stepped-growth faces. Highly representative and rich ore from this famous locale with several display views. Probably older material, but no proof.
