Two, impressive, sharp, brilliant metallic-gray, Galena cuboctahedrons, to 4.5 cm, dominate this sculptural and rich large combination from the famous Herja Mine. Scattered smaller Galena crystals along with starkly contrasting golden-metallic Chalcopyrite sphenoids, to 2.0 cm and the dense field of glassy, Quartz points in the mid-section are outstanding accessories. Sparkly, small spherical clusters of variable brown Siderite disks are richly scattered about. The broad end of the strongly tapered piece hosts coated Semseyite plates and tiny clusters of needle Quartz crystals. 999 grams or 2.2 pounds mass. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection (#50 Ru), a well-known German collector who amassed a world-wide collection of over 6000 pieces. He passed away in 2020. A classic and rich large combination from the noted locale, highlighted by the large, sharp galena crystals.
