Item Description

A striking and excellent combination specimen from the famous Casapalca Mine of Peru. Bright, golden, chalcopyrite appears to be spray-painted on the large sphalerite crystals (the dominating crystal on the top is 4.3 cm) and lesser so on the corroded, "melted-look", hoppered galena crystals. The showy, mounded, two-sided specimen rests on a quartz matrix with sparkly pyrite crystals. This is an unusual, showy and very fine combination sulfide specimen from this noted locale. Ex Vincent Valade and Robert Whitmore Collections. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
