Galena & Calcite (fluorescent) w/ Chalcopyrite

Item Description

Specimens from this less well-known portion (Central part) of the Borieva Mine are seldom on the market. A splendent, 2.8 cm, modified galena cube is jauntily perched on a bed of intensely sparkly, stepped-growth, tan, calcite rhombs. Accenting the galena are well-placed on top, golden chalcopyrite crystals with a few sphalerites and there is a nifty spray of glassy quartz points at the base of one side. The calcite fluoresces a dreamy orange-pink. Excellent and showy combination material mined in 2009.
