Galena and Siderite (superb old classic)

Galena and siderite specimens from Neudorf are a highly sought-after European classic. Splendent, intergrown, battleship-gray, galena cuboctahedrons are dramatically perched atop the lustrous, translucent, sharp, brown, siderite rhombs. The sparkly quartz crystals on the back are a nice accent. The galenas are complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a bit of out-of-sight edge wear on a back corner. This is a superb and aesthetic combination miniature from Neudorf. Old material, as the mines closed in 1903. Fairly valued at $900-1000. ex. George Elling collection
